Quick Recipe for Chocolate and Coffee Sauce
This is a really tasty chocolate sauce to serve with puddings and ice creams.
It is basically the same as coffee sauce, but with a large chunk of chocolate added.
How to make the quick version!
Just melt 100g of cooking chocolate in 30ml of strong black coffee and stir well until the chocolate has melted completely. Let it cool and then add 50g of butter, just a little at a time, beating until it is thoroughly blended in.
Voila, a really tasty coffee sauce with chocolate!
You can make that in a few minutes or you can make the much tastier and ‘stickier’ recipe, to follow.
How to Make the Perfect Choc and Coffee Sauce
What do you need:
- 150ml espresso slightly cooled espresso coffee
- 2 eggs
- 200g of chocolate
- 100g butter
- Thick double cream – whipped really well
How to Make it?
Melt the chocolate in the warm espresso, then leave to cool for a minute or two (but not until it thickens too much).
Beat up the eggs, and then add the espresso/choc mix and keep beating.
Place this mix over a bowl of boiling water and stir in the butter a small bit at a time. If you do this in a saucepan, you are likely to curdle the mixture.
Put this mixture in the fridge to cool for around 2 hours and then just before serving, fold in some thick whipped cream just before serving to make it lighter. The amount you add is up to you, it depends on how light or heavy you want your sauce.
Then pour over your favorite brand of vanilla ice cream or any other flavor you are brave enough to eat this thick, chocolaty sauce with.
