About Gaggia Espresso Machines

The Gaggia company was originally started by Achille Gaggia in 1948. Achille Gaggia patented the first espresso machines on 5th September 1938 (patent no. 365726), which is said to be the first steam-free coffee with cream machine. But it wasn’t until 1977 that the Gaggia brand name started appearing in homes, with the Baby Gaggia. This machine is still highly regarded as ‘the ideal family coffee-maker’.

Technology, care and tradition are still highly valued by Gaggia and all products are made at the Robecco sul Naviglio plant in Milan.

The Evolution of Gaggia Coffee Makers

Today Gaggia coffee machines come fully automatic, from grinding to brewing and measuring all at the touch of a button. These masterpieces have come a long way from the original lever controlled and pressure generated piston devices. The Gaggia Titanium range is a great example of how the company have evolved over the years and the Titanium espresso machines are made at the highest level of development and hard to beat for value for money.

The Gaggia Mission

The Gaggia company continues to provide excellence and tradition throughout their branded coffee and espresso machines, after over 50 years of supplying homes and coffee houses all around the world, aroma’s uniquely attributed to coffee. Gaggia will continually endeavour to provide attention to detail (care for details) and research and develop more proficient, quality, contemporary design and performance in their products while always retaining tradition.
