<p>The Gaggia company was originally started by Achille Gaggia in 1948. Achille Gaggia patented the first espresso machines on 5th September 1938 (patent no. 365726), which is said to be the first steam-free coffee with cream machine. But it wasn&#8217;t until 1977 that the Gaggia brand name started appearing in homes, with the Baby Gaggia. This machine is still highly regarded as &#8216;the ideal family coffee-maker&#8217;.</p>
<p>Technology, care and tradition are still highly valued by Gaggia and all products are made at the Robecco sul Naviglio plant in Milan.</p>
