Can Coffee Cure Alzheimer’s?
According to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, coffee could be a cure for Alzheimer’s. The study on Alzheimer’s and coffee, by an American neuroscientist, Dr Gary Arendash of the Florida Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centre has discovered evidence that caffeine may go further than just protecting people from increased symptoms, but may actually be a cure.
The Study was with mice, but the equivalent in men and women would be drinking 5 cups of coffee or consuming 500 milligrams of caffeine daily. The rodents who ingested caffeine performed better than those given just water, who’s memories were as sharp as those without Dementia.
